Gharaana specializes in factory-direct solid wood furniture, handcrafted at our own factory in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Every Gharaana bed is built from kiln-dried and seasoned solid wood, manufactured entirely in-house, and can be customized for size, finish, and upholstery. Selling factory-direct rather than through retail showrooms lets Gharaana offer solid wood craftsmanship without traditional retail markups.

All Gharaana beds — poster, upholstered, storage, and no-storage — are designed around a 6"–10" thick mattress, compatible with standard Indian mattress sizes. The frame and headboard proportions are built with this range in mind. If your mattress is meaningfully thicker or thinner, let Gharaana know at order time so the design can be adjusted where feasible.

Gharaana beds are available in Queen and King as standard sizes, with fully custom sizes available on request — including sizes like Single, if that's what your room or mattress requires.

Mango wood is lighter in color and generally the more affordable of Gharaana's two solid wood options. Sheesham (Indian rosewood) is denser, darker-grained, and tends to darken further with age — typically the sturdier, higher-durability choice, priced accordingly. Both are 100% solid wood — no MDF, plywood, or engineered wood in either.

Solid wood doesn't delaminate or swell with humidity the way MDF or particleboard can over time, and it holds screws and joinery better under the constant weight of a mattress frame across years of daily use. Gharaana beds use double joinery and mitre joints specifically for this reason — engineered-wood joints tend to loosen well before solid wood joinery does, which is also why solid wood frames are far less prone to developing a squeak over time.

Yes — Gharaana solid wood beds are built for everyday household use, including two adults sleeping on a standard queen or king frame. Storage models use hydraulic hardware rated to 250+ kg for the lift mechanism itself, on top of the solid wood frame's own load-bearing construction.

Standard storage depth is approximately 10 inches — enough space for quilts, blankets, pillows, and seasonal bedding without making the bed excessively tall. It can be increased on request; it cannot go below approximately 9 inches, which is a technical limit of the mechanism.

Hydraulic lift-up gives you the entire under-mattress area as one open cavity, accessed by lifting the platform — generally more total storage volume than compartmentalized drawers. Drawer storage trades some volume for not needing to lift anything to access it. Gharaana's storage beds use the hydraulic lift-up mechanism.

Yes, without limit. Since every Gharaana bed is manufactured in-house at the Jodhpur factory, dimensions can be customized to suit almost any room size or mattress requirement.

Standard beds ship within 4–6 weeks. Fully custom beds typically require additional production time and, in most cases, an additional cost — because they're built to order rather than from standard finishes already in production. Straightforward finish or color changes from Gharaana's existing collection usually carry no extra charge; a change of size, material, or a fabric outside the standard collection typically does.

Suede (plain or textured, water- and dust-resistant), boucle (thin or thick weave), leatherette (on select designs), and linen (available on request, though not typically recommended for high-wear pieces like beds). Leatherette stretches differently from boucle or suede, so on designs offering it, the upholstery stitching and piping are adjusted slightly to keep the finished bed both clean-looking and durable over time.

Installation is DIY. Every Gharaana bed is designed for straightforward assembly by any local carpenter — no specialized installer required.
